TicketSwap upgrades app to include Spotify Connect & new Ticket Import feature

TicketSwap, the global ethical, credible ticket resale marketplace, has upgraded the TicketSwap app to include Spotify Connect and a new Ticket Import feature for fans of festivals, concerts, theatre shows and other live events across the UK. The latest update also includes a new function to share individual tickets with your friends to avoid hassle around dividing tickets at the entrance.

Ticket Import Feature

The new import feature allows users to upload any PDF into their TicketSwap Ticket Wallet to store all tickets in one place and access them instantly, even when offline. Saving tickets in the TicketSwap Wallet also makes sharing tickets with friends even easier and allows users to sell tickets to fellow fans in seconds.

Unique to the Ticket Import feature on the TicketSwap app, users can save any ticket or PDF file to their Wallet including those acquired from another seller or reseller. This platform agnostic approach allows music and theatre fans to access all tickets in any PDF format to all types of events in one place and, if needed, sell these tickets on TicketSwap in just a few quick steps.

Offline functionality in the TicketSwap Wallet is also vital for fans, allowing them to access tickets at any time, in any place. This useful feature eliminates any anxiety around generating tickets in busy queues for large festivals, indoor/underground concerts, remote locations and other scenarios where mobile internet connection can be significantly weaker.

Dennis Mensen, Head of Product: “We are very excited to introduce TicketSwap’s Ticket Import feature to our over 10 million users worldwide. This new way of importing and storing tickets within the TicketSwap app provides music and live event fans a streamlined and organised approach to managing their tickets. As a fan-fanatical company, we are happy to simplify ticket management and brings together the accessibility, storage and sharing of tickets with this new feature."

Aiming to combat increasing cases of ticketing fraud in the UK, the launch of the Ticketswap Import feature comes as 87% of Brits revealed in 2023 that they believe tickets should be capped while over 90% maintain that the ticketing industry as a whole should be made safer. With the TicketSwap app, not only are resold ticket prices capped, but 70% of tickets are sold below the original face value to offer unparalleled value for money for fans in a totally secure environment.

Spotify Connect

Spotify Connect is now integrated into the TicketSwap app. Users can follow their favourite artists on the TicketSwap app. This will automatically generate a range of event recommendations based on your preferences and, once alerts are activated, let you know about events happening nearby which suit your music tastes.

Ticket sharing feature

To avoid any hassle or issues when dividing tickets between a large group at the entrance, the TicketSwap app now allows the ticket owner to share individual tickets with friends. Once the recipient accepts the ticket, the owner will be notified and they’ll see the ticket as their own. The owner can stop sharing the ticket at any time to resell or share with someone else.

The refreshed app for the UK unlocks a new level of ticketing access and safety for music, theatre and live event fans in the region through effective measures to prevent ticket fraud and overpricing. TicketSwap’s own SecureSwap technology to verify pricing, sellers and buyers combined with direct partnerships with event organisers ensure tickets are sold and resold on a credible marketplace and are placed into the hands of real fans.

Available on all trusted stores, the TicketSwap app allows users to fairly and safely buy and re-sell tickets to its 10 million users for no more than 20% above face value.
