TICKETMASTER APPOINTS ENTERTAINMENT EXPERT SIMON PRESSWELL AS MANAGING DIRECTOR, TICKETMASTER UK

Ticketmaster, a Live Nation Entertainment company, today announced the appointment of Simon Presswell as Managing Director, Ticketmaster United Kingdom (UK).

Simon's appointment underlines our commitment to delivering improved experiences for fans in the ever changing live entertainment ticketing landscape, and his breadth of experience will ensure we continue to deliver our strategy which puts fans first.”

As Managing Director, Ticketmaster UK, Presswell will be responsible for the UK operation of the business which includes more than 500 employees across London, Manchester, Stoke and Glasgow.

Simon has previously held Executive positions at SkyIQ, the Insights Business of BSkyB and was Senior Vice President, Marketing & Digital at NBC Universal TV, Managing Director at Universal Parks and Resorts where he worked across legendary brands such as The Simpsons and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Simon has also worked in a number of senior roles across the international operations of digital and insight driven businesses such as Citrix Online, private equity owned Travelport, American Express and Thomas Cook before launching the hyper growth stages of lastminute.com.

This appointment is the latest in a string of moves by Ticketmaster which has seen Chris Edmonds promoted to Chairman Ticketmaster UK & Executive Vice President International Strategic Partnerships, and the addition of Christoph Homann who joined in May as Managing Director of Resale, International. 

Presswell, who will be based at the new Ticketmaster International headquarters in Angel, London commented on his appointment by saying: “I am thrilled to be joining the world leaders in live entertainment and e-commerce who are constantly innovating to improve the client and fan experience.
