THE LEGENDARY KASHMIR KLUB RETURNS TO LONDON

For one night only the seminal London songwriters event The Kashmir Klub comes back to the Capital with a special one off show at The Union Chapel in Islington. Featuring a line up that includes Nizlopi (specially reforming for the night) The Feeling, Jamie Woon, Tom Baxter, Judie Tzuke, Lucie Silvas and many more, this will be a unique evening of music and entertainment.
It was exactly 14 years ago that Tony Moore first opened the doors of the Kashmir Klub and created a venue that attracted singer/songwriters from all over the world. In a time where indie rock and dance music ruled the airwaves, The Kashmir Klub became THE place for acoustic artists to learn their craft and gain an audience. Performers such as Damien Rice, Imogen Heap and KT Tunstall all made their debut at The Kashmir as well as some very well known acts such as Sheryl Crow and Dave Stewart playing secret gigs.
The whole ethos of the original Kashmir Klub was that music came first and it was a not for profit environment so all proceeds from this new show will go to CHILDLINE, part of the NSPCC.
Kashmir founder Tony Moore says " I am thrilled and excited to be able to recreate some of the magic of the original Kashmir Klub with a unique lineup of artists, all for a crucial charity"
Regular Kashmir performer KT Tunstall says "Tony is a total rock of strength to anyone doubting that music is their path in life - I aspire to remain as in love and involved with it as he is.
Lucie Silvas, who will be taking part in the re-union show remarks "Tony's passion for music is clear for anyone to see. He makes anything seem possible and has been a huge force in my career so far".
The Kashmir Klub ran from November 1997 until June 2003 and was widely recognised as being at the fore front of the UK singer/songwriter revolution. It was established and hosted by Tony Moore whose background includes being an original member of Iron Maiden, playing keyboards with hit band Cutting Crew and writing, touring and producing with many other artists.
