The Annual BPI Classical Committee/PPL quiz raises upwards of £6,500 in aid of Nordoff & Robbins and LPMAM's Ukrainian Bursary Student Scheme



The popular music industry quiz returned for its ninth year, this year hosted by Sony Music UK

 

The Annual BPI Classical Committee / PPL Quiz in aid of Nordoff and Robbins and the London Performing Academy of Music (LPMAM) Ukrainian Bursary Student Scheme was successful held on Thursday 23rd November, this year hosted by Sony Music UK.

The ninth running of the ever-popular quiz raised nearly £6,500 for the two charities and was won by the BBC Music Magazine team for a second year (see photo).  Chaired by classical music industry expert Mark Wilkinson, more than 20 teams participated in the event, answering questions ranging from Mozart to Little Mix.

Nordoff & Robbins work with people of all ages and with a range of conditions. To see how their work changes lives for the better, see video here. The London Performing Academy of Music (LPMAM), founded by BPI Council member Dr. Stefania Passamonte, provide bursaries for Ukrainian students, who require around £9,000 p.a. to continue their studies at LPMAM.
