Swedish tech startup, Staccs - a premium streaming service for concert video and music documentaries - has announced its first local artist collaboration with critically acclaimed singer-songwriter, Lars Winnerbäck. Considered to be one of the biggest artists in Sweden, Lars Winnerbäck has built an impressive career over the last 20 years and will collaborate with Staccs to offer fans exclusive access to his highly successful concert performed on 28th August 2021 at Södra Teatern, Stockholm. This new artist deal will see the popular show made available for fans to enjoy over and over again, exclusively on Staccs. Set to become the global home for concerts on demand, Staccs provides a new commercial opportunity for the music industry.

With artists continuously finding new ways of conducting live concerts, award-winning Lars Winnerbäck’s intimate and unique concert was long awaited by his fans. Having initially booked a tour in 2019 but seeing it cancelled due to the pandemic, Lars turned to live streaming to allow fans globally to enjoy his music. This particular concert, performed on 28th August 2021 at Södra Teatern, Stockholm saw more than 8,000 fans tuning in across 13 countries and was successful in promoting his EP “Själ Och Hjärta Del 1”. As well as a seated audience and live stream via the Doors platform, the concert was also broadcast on large screens at selected venues in multiple cities across Sweden.

The licensed deal between Staccs and Lars Winnerbäck will see this legacy content monetised in a way not done before. By making this popular show available again to enjoy, fans will be able to go back again and again, and relive the magic of the concert.

Jonas Sellberg, Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder of Staccs commented: “This exclusive collaboration with a respected local artist is the natural next step for Staccs with many more milestones to look forward to. Following the success of our first collaboration with Nightwish, we are excited to continue to bridge the relationships between fans and artists. For us at Staccs, we are the place where these relationships are empowered to flourish”.

Having launched last year in the Nordics and Baltic states, Staccs has created a platform which will stream high-quality, premium video and audio content - all available in one place. Details of a UK launch will be revealed later.

Staccs opens up new, untapped commercial opportunities for the music industry with its user-centric business model - offering artists and rights holders a new revenue stream to market classic video content. The new home for concerts on demand, Staccs offers fans the chance to relive their favourite gigs advert free in the highest quality possible.
