Stabal Media launches Carbon Neutral Film & Recording Studio and Announces Plans to Work with Artists and the Music Industry to promote Sustainability

Digital powerhouse Stabal Media has officially launched its groundbreaking new carbon neutral film recording studio and performance venue in London.

The unique 250 year old barns were designed and converted from the ground up with music and sustainability in mind, while reusing all of the original building material and structure. The Stabal Studio complex has been built to give artists an opportunity to create a no-limitations show experience.  Fantastic acoustics and beautiful aesthetics have been married with state of the art technology and equipment, all achieved without compromising a carbon neutral strategy.

Eco-friendly strategies help the studios to be carbon neutral. The heating system works sustainably with geothermal energy and electricity which is generated by ground and air source heat. Not only has the studio's infrastructure become carbon neutral, but productions being made in the studio complex are adopting the concept as well. Stabal Studio has invested in its own kitchen garden, and offers carbon calculator reports for all recordings and events.

Stabal Media has a strong vision to partner with artists and industry alike to promote a sustainable and positive entertainment industry.

In 2021, Stabal TV partnered with UMA Entertainment to produce and broadcast the COP26 special music event on Stabal, raising money for Brian Eno's EarthPercent with performances and interviews from  Aurora, Sam Fischer, Nick Mulvey, Music Declares Emergency, Beggars Group, Julie's Bicycle and many more.

Many major music labels  signed the Music Climate Pact  to halve carbon emissions by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. The pact which addresses activities such as touring, vinyl manufacturing, and music streaming  which are unsustainably carbon-intensive at current levels.

Stabal is campaigning to make producers aware of the fact that sustainable resource management will ultimately go a long way. The company is working with like minded suppliers to apply carbon monitoring and offsetting where needed. The company is also proud to be a member of the 1% for the Planet movement, and supports Earth Percent.

Steve Odart, Chairman & Founder of Stabal commented:"Stabal has a strong vision to partner with artists and industry alike to promote a sustainable and positive entertainment industry.  We believe that any individual or organisation has a responsibility to use their platform of influence to bring about positive change in the environment. Through a collective action we can help reduce the impact of the music industry on global climate change"
