Sony Music Entertainment UK appoints Charlotte Edgeworth Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Social Impact

Sony Music Entertainment UK today announce the appointment of Charlotte Edgeworth to the newly created position of Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Social Impact.

As part of Sony Music UK's continued commitment to diversity and equity, Edgeworth will work across the entire company to expand its ongoing inclusion activities. She will spearhead company strategies to continue fostering an equitable workplace, working closely with Human Resources and Tiffany R. Warren, Executive Vice President, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Sony Music Group. On Sony Music UK's social impact activity, Edgeworth will also work in close collaboration with the UK Social Justice board and Sony Music Group's Executive Vice President of Philanthropy and Social Impact, Towalame Austin.

She has championed diversity and promoted responsible business across a number of industries and for global FTSE-listed organisations. For the past five years, she has led and managed a Corporate Social Responsibility business, where she specialised in strategic grant making.

Edgeworth started working with Sony Music UK in 2020, strategically advising on activities and disbursements of the Company's Social Justice Fund, part of Sony Music Group's $100 million Global Social Justice Fund to support social justice and anti-racist initiatives around the world. In her new role, Edgeworth will continue building on the Fund's commitments and philanthropic partnerships, expanding its scope and reach.

Warren said: "I look forward to collaborating with Charlotte to expand our efforts in the realm of diversity and inclusion. Together we will continue to drive meaningful and long-lasting change within Sony Music Group and beyond."

Edgeworth said: "I am delighted to join Sony Music UK at such a vital time in the movement towards a fairer and more inclusive society. I look forward to further developing Sony Music's commitment to equity and opportunity in the workplace and driving social change in the wider community."
