Shazam reveals the most-Shazamed dance tracks in Ibiza this summer
10 October 2019 - Press release“Joys" from Italian DJ Roberto Surace was the most-Shazamed dance track in Ibiza this summer. The track started getting momentum on Shazam late June and generated enough Shazams to hit the top position for the whole Ibiza season.
The track first topped the weekly Shazam Ibiza Dance Chart—available on Billboard.com—in the week ending July 28th, overtaking “Piece of Your Heart” by Meduza after 7 weeks at the top spot. Roberto Surace was then No. 1 on every Shazam Ibiza Dance Chart after that, for 11 consecutive weeks.

The biggest weekend in terms of Shazams in Ibiza this season was August 10th and 11th. The top song that weekend was Surace's “Joys”. The track also entered Shazam's charts in several countries, peaking at No. 9 on Shazam's UK chart on October 5th, at No. 19 in Belgium on July 31st and at No. 21 in The Netherlands on September 19th.
Upon release, Joys was immediately added to Apple Music’s top dance music playlists danceXL and House Nation where the track is currently #1.
Off the back of garnering Top 10 Shazam in the UK, Joys has also been added to Future Hits.
The track continues to gain momentum in the Apple Music charts alongside the likes of Ed Sheeran, Post Malone and Stormzy.
Meduza’s “Piece of Your Heart”, second most-Shazamed track of the season, enjoyed global success and has been one of the top 10 tracks in Shazam’s Global Charts since early May (22 weeks), reaching No. 2 Worldwide on July 20th. FISHER had two tracks reach the weekly Shazam Ibiza Dance Chart over the course of the season. Both “Losing It” and “You Little Beauty” made the Shazam Ibiza Dance Chart in the week ending June 9th. “Losing It” sits at No. 3 in our season roundup top 10, while “You Little Beauty” finishes at No. 10.
