Scottish promoter 432 Presents named as new co-owners of award-winning city venue The Voodoo Rooms
29 September 2022 - Press release
Independent concert promoter 432 Presents have been named as co-owners of The Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh.
The fast-growing team from Glasgow - founders of The Hug and Pint (120) and promoters of over 700 concerts since live events resumed in August 2021 - will be working closely with the existing team at the award-winning Edinburgh institution to develop its live event programming and maximise the potential of this community venue.
With state-of-the-art 200 and 100-capacity live rooms and an award-winning bar and restaurant, the venue is one of the UK's most well equipped and palatial grassroots music venues in Europe today.
Part of the city architecture since 1861, The Voodoo Rooms has been open in its current form since 2007, growing to become an enormously popular fixture in Edinburgh city centre across its six rooms on account of its world class mixologists, beautiful decor and eclectic live entertainment.
This partnership marks the beginning of an era, as the new team work to strengthen the reputation of Edinburgh's live music scene while best representing and maintaining the truly unique and iconic qualities of this bona fide hidden gem.
Brian Reynolds, director at 432 presents said:
"We are thrilled to join Ewan [McNaught], Lachlan [Rooney] and the hardworking team at The Voodoo Rooms and look forward to exploring ways in which we can use our expertise to contribute to the cultural fabric of the City of Edinburgh in this most cherished of institutions. I've got so much respect for the outgoing directors Kyles, Brendan, Andrew and Rock for everything they achieved here in conjunction with Ewan, who is continuing in his role as director, and the rest of the team."
