Round Hill Music signs Andy Taylor

Round Hill Music is proud to announce their worldwide publishing deal with multi award-winning artist Andy Taylor. A songwriter, guitarist, singer and producer, Taylor is best known as a founding member of Duran Duran and The Power Station.

After selling over 100 million albums with Duran Duran, Taylor’s global hits with The Power Station included “Some Like it Hot” and the cover of theT.Rex classic “Get it On.”

Taylor was co-writer, co-producer and guitarist on Sir Rod Stewart’s multi-platinum album, “Out of Order”. He has produced and co-written hits for Thunder, The Almighty and Robert Palmer, playing guitar on the latter’s biggest hit, “Addicted to Love”. Taylor has also enjoyed a successful solo career, with hits like “I Might Lie” & “Take it Easy” gracing the US Top 40. His many soundtrack credits include the theme song for the Arnold Schwartzenegger movie, “Commando.”

Taylor’s manager, Seven Webster of 7pm Management, says: “Andy is one of the most gifted and prolific talents I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with - his writing never sleeps. This year alone he’s co-written, recorded and produced two fantastic new album projects. Naturally we were keen to find him the best independent publishing partner.”

After positive meetings with Round Hill Music UK/US, involving UK MD Robin Godfrey Cass and founder/owner/CEO Josh Gruss, Taylor says: “The decision to sign to Round Hill was a no-brainer. Both Josh and Robin have a great command of what proactive creative relationships are.”

Cass says: “ It’s not everyday you get the opportunity to work with a writer and musician of this caliber and with such a prolific body of work.”

The last few years have seen Taylor back in the studio, working relentlessly on a new, soon to be released Andy Taylor album on BMG Records. Singles are due early 2020, followed by the album release in May 2020.

He also recently produced and co-wrote albums for The Ting Tings & new Polish rock act Chemia.

Taylor put in a surprise appearance at last month’s Glastonbury Festival when he got up and joined Top 40 rock favorites Reef for their headline set on the Avalon Stage.
