Rough Trade Announces Parternship with Cambridge Audio

Independent music retailer has announced its partnership with British music and audio pioneer, Cambridge Audio.

The sound systems at Rough Trade’s East and West London and Bristol locations have been updated with Cambridge Audio components from their Edge, Evo, CX, AX, and SX ranges, including Alva series turntables and phono stages.

Bespoke sound systems have also been built by Cambridge Audio in Rough Trade’s newer store locations in Berlin and Liverpool, and Alva ST Turntables will be used exclusively in Rough Trade’s listening stations with Alva Duo phono preamps.

Sam Allison, Head of Events and Partnerships at Rough Trade, commented: “Cambridge Audio are the perfect partner, offering unparalleled audio quality for music fans across all genres. With the brand’s premier sound engineering, Rough Trade can now provide the best immersive sonic experience for customers in-store. Together, we aim to set the standard for excellence in retail audio.”

Also based in London, Cambridge Audio was established in 1968 with one primary objective: to connect people to the power of music. Their team of acoustic engineers are comprised of music lovers, gig-goers, and musicians who love to help listeners connect to their favourite artists and songs. Each Cambridge product is designed, tuned and engineered at the company’s London music venue and HQ, Melomania.

Nick Udall, Head of Digital and Customer Experience at Cambridge Audio, commented: “Cambridge Audio is all about music – we exist to connect people to the power of music. It’s clear that Rough Trade shares that passion, and together we can help listeners find and enjoy artists and songs that can change their lives.”
