Reservoir extends deal with Grammy-winning songwriter-producer Khris Riddick-Tynes

Reservoir Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: RSVR), an award-winning independent music company, today announced a new global publishing deal with Grammy Award-winning songwriter-producer Khris Riddick-Tynes, who has been represented by the Company since 2020. Under the extended partnership, Reservoir will continue to publish Riddick-Tynes’ catalog, as well as his future works.

Based in Los Angeles, Khris Riddick-Tynes has collaborated with some of music’s biggest names, from Drake to SZA, Kehlani, Ariana Grande, and Ella Mai, among others. Since signing with Reservoir five years ago, one of Riddick-Tynes’ most successful collaborations was SZA’s “Snooze,” which he co-wrote and co-produced. “Snooze” notably took home the 2024 Grammy for Best R&B Song and topped the Hot R&B Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts while peaking at #2 on the Hot 100. The single is off SZA’s 6x-Platinum-selling and #1 album SOS, which is one of the biggest albums of this decade so far and has broken a handful of records since its release in 2022. The album just became the new record holder for most weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, holding this position for 41 non-consecutive weeks and staying in the top 10 for its entire 134 weeks on the chart. Additionally, the album has held the #1 spot on Top R&B Albums for 117 of its 134 weeks on the chart.

Over the last few years, Riddick-Tynes has earned several other industry accolades. He was named to Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players list in 2023 and 2024, and was dubbed a Variety Hitmaker in 2023. His works were nominated for multiple 2025 Grammys, including Album of the Year nominee Djesse Volume. 4 by Jacob Collier, which featured an interpolation of his collab “Hate” by Idman. His Kehlani co-write “After Hours” earned a nomination for Best R&B Song, while her album, Crash, was nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album. His continued collaborations with Kehlani are proving just as fruitful, as her latest single “Folded,” co-written and co-produced by Riddick-Tynes, debuted at #7 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs and contributed to a week marked by the highest streams of her career.

On extending his deal with Reservoir, Riddick-Tynes said, “Extending my publishing deal with Reservoir was an easy decision. I’m incredibly grateful to Donna, Golnar, and the entire Reservoir team for continuing to believe in me and support my vision. Their dedication and partnership mean everything, and I’m excited for what we’ll create together in this next chapter.”

Reservoir EVP, Global Creative Director Donna Caseine also commented, “I have had the pleasure of working incredibly closely with Khris for the last five years, building on a relationship that started over a decade ago. He is a truly hard worker with extraordinary talent, who proves time and again to be an impressive collaborator, creating fresh music in the voice of some of today’s biggest artists across genres.” She added, “I am so grateful to continue to support him at Reservoir. We have been so proud of everything Khris has achieved to date, and I know he’s only just scratched the surface of where his talent can take him.”
