Reservoir Announces Publishing Deal with Cat Burns/Olivia Dean Collaborator Britten Newbill
22 January 2026 - Press releaseReservoir Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: RSVR), an award-winning independent music company, today announced a new publishing deal with multi-genre songwriter-producer Britten Newbill for a portion of his catalog and his future works.
Born in Nashville and now based in London, Newbill has songwriting and producing credits spanning genres from pop to R&B and more. In 2025, he collaborated with Cat Burns on her acclaimed, Top 10 U.K. album How To Be Human, co-writing “I Hope It’s Me” and “GIRLS!” He also co-wrote “Ladies Room” and “I Could Be A Florist” off Olivia Dean’s Mercury Prize-shortlisted debut album, Messy, as well as Giveon’s “At Least We Tried.” Newbill first made a name for himself co-writing Daya’s 2x-Platinum hits “Hide Away” and “Sit Still, Look Pretty.” He has since penned songs by Tori Kelly, Noah Cyrus, Sam Fischer, Meghan Trainor, and others.
In addition to these collaborations, Newbill has scored original music for film and TV, notably for the acclaimed 20th Century Fox film Love, Simon and its spin-off Disney series Love, Victor. Known for his dynamic creative partnerships, Newbill frequently collaborates with other hit songwriters and producers, such as Two Inch Punch, Corey Sanders, Max Wolfgang, and D’Mile, among others. Heading into 2026, he has upcoming releases with many major recording artists including Troye Sivan, Cat Burns, and more.
