Record Store Day Unsigned competition with Breed Media is back

It's back! Record Store Day and Breed Media are thrilled to announce the return of Record Store Day Unsigned – the competition offering one exceptional unsigned UK artist the chance to have their music pressed onto 500 vinyl records, courtesy of Breed Media.
Providing emerging artists with a unique opportunity to showcase their talent and take their careers to the next level, this year's competition is set to be the biggest yet.
Entry is simple; artists must upload their original music to YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram using the hashtag #RSDUnsigned, and then submit the link via the Breed Media submission page here. Submissions are encouraged from artists across all genres and backgrounds.
The competition will be judged by a panel of industry experts, including:
● Karen Emanuel, CEO of Key Production Group and Breed Media
● Elsie Chadwick, Head of Customer Services at Stamper Discs
● Emma Perks, owner of Spinning Around Records (Telford)
● girli, Singer and songwriter
With their passion for music and combined expertise, our judges will ensure that the most promising talent gets the spotlight it deserves.
Singer and songwriter girli said, "Unsigned artists are the future of music and where the most unfiltered creativity comes from when it comes to songwriting - I'm so stoked to listen to so many new songs, what a TREAT."
In addition to having their music pressed on vinyl, this year's winner will receive a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 607 S3 bookshelf speakers and a Marantz Stereo 70s amplifier to help create an in-home studio setup, and the opportunity to attend a mastering session at Abbey Road Studios to have their music mastered, courtesy of RSD UK official partner, Bowers & Wilkins.

Record Store Day Unsigned has previously supported five winners – including 4 The Brotherhood, Currls, Amy Fitz Doyley, Sister Cookie, Heavy Rapids, and Barbudo – who have gone on to enjoy radio play, UK-wide tours, and festival appearances.

Submissions are open now and will close on 10th November 2025.
