PMY Group and Audoo announce global partnership, audio meter integration enhances public performance reporting at large-scale events

  •  Partnership sees the Audoo Audio Meter™ integrated into tech stacks at major events.

  •  This rollout bolsters Audoo's global expansion, and mission to revolutionise public performance royalties for music creators, licensees and businesses.

PMY Group (PMY) – a full-service technology solutions provider specialising in enhancing the infrastructure, experience, operations, and intelligence of venues and major events globally – today announces its global partnership with music recognition technology company Audoo. This collaboration marks a new era in live event technology and royalty management, enhancing public performance reporting through integrating Audoo Audio Meters™ into tech stacks at large-scale events.

Various music industry figures have estimated that unclaimed music royalties run into billions of dollars annually due to a lack of transparent and accurate reporting. Combining expertise, the PMY and Audoo partnership tackles this at large-scale events, ultimately optimising royalties for music creators, licensees and businesses.

PMY services over 1,000 clients across diverse sectors in 14 countries, offering technology infrastructure and solutions that pave the way for innovation in public venues and major events. The European summer season features some 400 music festivals, plus numerous sporting events and concerts - PMY incorporating the Audio Audio Meter™ directly into the tech stack of these mass event venues further demonstrates its commitment to boosting its offering for existing customers, through leveraging Audoo technology, and attracting new ones by showcasing a new standard in music royalty reporting.

The Audoo Audio Meter is a state-of-the-art music recognition technology solution, backed by music legends including Sir Elton John, that supplies improved accuracy and transparency in public performance data to make it easier to recognise in quasi-real-time where and when music is being played and how the royalties should be paid.

The GDPR-compliant devices, which don't compromise on public privacy, are being rolled out across Europe, the Middle East and Australasia to track and report songs played in public performance locations like cafes, bars, hair salons, restaurants, gyms and retail.

By integrating the Audoo Audio Meter with its OPTIC platform, PMY leaps forward in live music analytics - both parties setting new reporting and transparency standards for the music industry at major events worldwide.

Ryan Edwards, Founder and CEO of Audoo, said: "There is a lack of automation over what music is played at huge events like festivals and in massive stadiums, they're complicated operations with multiple locations that need to be accounted for.

"We're delighted to partner with a respected world leader in tech design and management in PMY, to help Audoo deliver a fairer and more transparent music industry for artists worldwide."

Oliver Guy-Watkins at PMY Group added: "Incorporating Audoo's innovative technology into our event solutions underscores PMY's role as a forward-thinking entity in the technology sector, committed to ensuring the music industry's sustainability and nurturing the next generation of headline acts."
