Pirate Studios – the music tech company offering self-service 24-hour music studios – has today announced the launch of Pirate Prodigy 2019; a competition to find the UK’s next up-and-coming talent.
Pirate Prodigy 2019 aims to find UK talent across three categories: Band, DJ and MC/vocalist, with help from some of the most influential people in the industry, including Edith Bowman, Mr Scruff, and Radio 1’s Toddla T.
An expert panel of industry mentors and judges will support, develop and promote the careers of the three winners. Across the programme, artists will receive one-to-one mentoring and masterclasses that cover every aspect needed to help launch a career from management to publishing, A&R to radio-play, song-writing to PR. The lot.
Pirate Studios will supplement this with unlimited free use of their “impressive and innovative rehearsal facilities” (Clash Magazine), personalised artist merchandise and consultations with premiere music service YouTube Music, as well as promotion across Pirate Studios’ extensive and growing social media channels. The winners will also secure festival slots on all stages Pirate Studio hosts in 2019.
In short, these artists will be given everything they need to take their career to the next level.
