PHANTOM MUSIC EXPANDS TO KEEP UP WITH THE BAND!

PHANTOM MUSIC MANAGEMENT LTD has announced the appointment of DAVE SHACK as Managing Director, Phantom Music Management Limited. This is a newly created position within Phantom Music, the artist management company for rock band IRON MAIDEN.

Dave Shack started his career in music on Kerrang! Magazine in 1987 before joining the ranks of record label BMG in RCA marketing and then promotions. When the company merged with Sony in 2001, Shack became Vice-President of International, a position he held for the last 12 years. He is no stranger to the world of IRON MAIDEN having first seen them perform at St George’s Hall, Bradford, UK way back in 1982!  Speaking about his new role Dave said, “This feels like where I was always meant to end up after 25 years in the music industry. The opportunity to work with a brand of such power and integrity is a dream come true; the music and catalogue, the Trooper beer, the sold-out tours and the power of their fans and the metal community is unparalleled. What Rod and Andy have achieved with the band is inspiring and I am looking forward to learning from them and helping take one of Britain’s greatest ever rock bands into their next phase.”

In his new undertaking Shack will report directly to Rod Smallwood and Andy Taylor, joint CEOs of Phantom Music.

The news follows a recent reporting from the London Stock Exchange entitled 1,000 Companies To Inspire Britain, which lists Iron Maiden LLP as one the UK’s fastest growing music firms, outperforming other businesses in the sector and attributing their success to the band’s ever-expanding global fanbase, especially online.
