Ostereo expands team and music catalogue with new hires and signings



 

  • New hires include Campaign Manager for Asia and A&R/Digital Manager

  • Original records to be released in 2024 for numerous domestic and overseas artists

Ostereo, the UK-based music label and publishing company, has announced an expansion with new hires and signings to its catalogue of record releases. The music firm has seen significant growth and international streaming success recently across the business leading to an expansion of the company to service its growing demand. 

To support this growth, Ostereo has appointed Andy Griffin as the Campaign Manager for Asia and hired Danny McNamara as an A&R/Digital Manager. With considerable experience working with artists and located in Thailand, Griffin will be responsible for artist campaigns across the Southeast Asia region and developing these artists within these key markets ensuring ongoing streaming success and significant exposure for the releases. 

In addition, McNamara joins Ostereo’s Recordings department. Previously at Cr2 Records and Universal Music Group working on a wide range of roles including digital, through to A&R and management, McNamara will be responsible for artist recruitment and managing digital artist campaigns. 

Further to their participation in an Ostereo-coordinated recording session at Abbey Road Studios, single releases are scheduled for UK-based artists Jodie KnightiliGavin HolliganRiver Atley and many more to be announced.

The new record deals complement the recent success the label has seen from its artist campaigns securing impressive numbers for its international roster. For example, in 2023 more than five billion streams were achieved for its catalogue and the label saw an unprecedented spike on TikTok for its Indonesian artist, Shania Yan. She achieved one million creations and 320 million plays within a seven day period in February. Similarly, Indian artist Ennah has enjoyed recent success garnering 20,000 creations and 12 million plays in January. The Asian market continues to be a lucrative focus for Ostereo.
