Notting Hill Music signs global publishing deal with pop rock act As It Is

Transatlantic pop-rock band As It Is have signed a major global music publishing deal with Notting Hill Music.

The deal with Notting Hill Music will see the company administer As It Is’ existing catalogue of multiple albums and anthology collections, while supporting their forthcoming fifth full-length and beyond, including sync opportunities and international expansion.

The news follows the band’s recent signing to FLG, the Frontiers Label Group imprint dedicated to alternative and modern rock, and the release of the single, ‘Lose Your Way & Find Yourself’, the first new music from As It Is’ original line-up since 2018.

The deal was finalised at a triumphant headline show at London’s Electric Ballroom, the final tour date of a UK headline run that saw the band celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut, Never Happy, Ever After, performing the album in full alongside the new single and a back catalogue spanning second set.

As It Is lead vocalist and co-founder Patty Walters said: “13 years after starting the band, we’ve never felt more alive, ambitious, and impassioned about making music together, and we can’t wait for this exciting new chapter of the band to begin. Many members of the band’s team are still with us more than a decade later, and we’re overjoyed that Notting Hill Music will be with us moving forward. We want to say the most humble and wholehearted thank you to John, Roy, Dave, and the entire team at Notting Hill Music for their belief in the past, present, and future of our band.”

John Saunderson, head of creative at Notting Hill Music, adds
It was an absolute thrill to sign As It Is ‘live’; on stage at their sold-out Electric Ballroom show in Camden. Their energy, authenticity and connection with the crowd was undeniable, and it was clear to me that the band has something truly special.
With Leander on management, Tim & Leo at Frontiers Label Group label and the whole Notting Hill music team, I feel we are all aligned in helping As It Is reach their full potential. This is just the beginning of a very exciting new chapter.

Leander Gloversmith, artist manager at Future History Management, said: “Signing with Notting Hill presents an exciting new platform for As It Is’ wealth of material to reach new audiences. We have long felt that publishing and sync opportunities were a missing puzzle piece for this act, but we had not found the right fit - until now. John, Roy (Davis) and the team at Notting Hill have brought an inimitable energy, along with a true understanding of the band’s potential to the table, and we are thrilled to explore the avenues that this new partnership opens up, for the wealth of back catalogue and new music alike.”
