Noctil Launches OrgLink: Hierarchical Account Structuring for Smarter Metadata Governance

Noctil, the leading no-code metadata platform for the music and audiovisual industries, has launched OrgLink: a powerful new feature enabling flexible organizational hierarchies and secure, policy-based data sharing.

Designed for complex ecosystems such as record labels, publishers, performance rights organizations, and royalty societies, OrgLink allows businesses to model parent-child relationships between accounts and enforce granular metadata access policies. With this release, Noctil strengthens its position as the metadata backbone for collaborative rights management and royalty workflows.

A key advancement in OrgLink is record ownership tracking - enabling organizations to retain clarity over data provenance when sharing metadata downstream. Combined with fine-grained read/write permissions, OrgLink supports secure collaboration across federated systems, while maintaining full control over how data is viewed and edited at each level.

Jacob Varghese, Founder and CEO of Noctil, said: “Managing complex metadata flows and ensuring accurate royalty distribution is one of the industry’s biggest challenges. OrgLink brings much-needed structure and transparency to that process. It empowers organizations to collaborate without compromising control - a critical step forward for efficient operations and fair payouts.”

This feature is especially valuable for consortiums or networks of affiliated organizations that require shared database environments while maintaining distinct access levels for each member entity.

The launch of OrgLink follows a year of significant growth for Noctil. The platform has now processed over 100 million sound recordings, supported 100,000+ catalog registrations, and enabled 50,000 rightsholders to get paid over the past five years.
