New promotions company from former Synergy Concerts team

432 Presents is a new Glasgow-based concert promotions company formed by Brian Reynolds, a seasoned promoter of 17 years; previously of Synergy Concerts, The Arches and The Barfly.

Empowered by its independence, and dedicated to bringing cutting-edge live music events to Scotland (and beyond), 432 builds on the experience and shared vision of its team to bring new and engaging ideas to its artists, clients, customers and staff.

After six successful years together, Reynolds and company partner Grainne Braithwaite-Vedamanikam recently decided to part ways and conclude their work together under the ‘Synergy Concerts’ banner.

The decision to split, while entirely amicable, presents an exciting opportunity for the strategic development of both companies, with Reynolds and team now moving on as 432 Presents, and Synergy Concerts continuing under the direction of company founder Braithwaite-Vedamanikam.

However, while the name change represents a new start in many ways, the team - which has been together since 2012 and promotes over 500 gigs a year - remains the same, as does much of their operations.

Under this new title, 432 Presents retains ownership of popular flagship music venue The Hug and Pint in Glasgow’s West End - as well as the recently acquired Blue Arrow Jazz Club on the city’s famous Sauchiehall Street - and will continue to promote The National Whisky Festival Of Scotland; now in its third year and expanding as we speak.

This year will also see 432 continue to work closely with Celtic Connections, beginning this month with an extensive collaboration across dozens of shows as part of the festival’s 2019 programme.

Later in the year, following on from a fantastic instalment last summer, 432 will resume booking for popular Scottish summer festival Doune The Rabbit Hole for the 2019 edition, as well as The Spree Festival in Paisley, which last year saw ‘Scotland’s Biggest Town’ play host to soul legend Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, post-punk icons Gang of Four and the London African Gospel choir, among many others.

Meanwhile, in August, the team will be collaborating with Edinburgh International Festival as part of their 2019 programme at the newly reopened Leith Theatre, as well as promoting several shows at the city’s Summerhall - one of Edinburgh’s key arts venues - during the world famous Fringe Festival.

It goes without saying that the coming year is set to be the busiest yet and with that in mind, the team at 432 Presents are very excited to be kicking off 2019 with a fresh start.
