Nando's Music Exchange Goes Global

·       Aspiring musicians from South Africa, Canada, UK and Australia invited to apply today

·       BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Sian Anderson confirmed as first in line-up of mentors

·       In partnership with iconic live venue, Roundhouse, Camden

Applications open today for the Nando’s Music Exchange annual workshop, offering budding musicians the opportunity to turn up the heat on their careers from Monday 4th – Thursday 7th June 2018.

Now in its fourth year, the project brings together talent from the UK, South Africa, Australia and Canada to develop their skills under the guidance of chart-topping artists and industry experts hosted in the Roundhouse “young creatives” Studios. Past mentors include Stormzy, Ella Eyre, Dope Saint Jude and Little Simz.

BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Sian Anderson, who also runs her own mentoring programme, FLOOR SIXX Music Academy, is on board to inspire participants for the second year running. She says:  “As someone who benefitted from having industry mentors at a young age, I’m extra passionate about supporting the next generation of artists with what I’ve learnt along the way.

“Nando’s Music Exchange provides a really unique opportunity for artists to work with people from different cultural backgrounds, influences and experiences. Last year’s collaborations produced some very impressive tracks, so I’m looking forward to hearing what this year brings.”

Nando’s Music Exchange is part of Nando’s long-term commitment to fuel emerging talent, having launched a free-to-use studio in its Soho restaurant in January.

Five places are available for UK residents. To apply to be part of this year’s Nando’s Music Exchange workshop, head here: http://www.roundhouse.org.uk/young-creatives/summer-2018/nandos-music-exchange/
