MyTicket.co.uk announces partnership with Twickets

MyTicket.co.uk, the online purchase hub for all Kilimanjaro Live and DEAG events, is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Twickets, the UK's largest face value ticket resale platform. Following a hugely successful year with sold out tours for the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bastille Kilimanjaro are pleased to announce the partnership that will help to protect its customers from overpricing on the secondary market.

Twickets enables users to securely buy and sell spare tickets at face value or less, either online, via mobile or social media. Since launching in 2011, Twickets has listed thousands of spare tickets for gigs, festivals, sport, comedy and the arts, with over 500,000 fans now using the service.

The face-value pricing policy ensures protection for its users with a guarantee against ticket fraud and overpricing, representing the latest innovation in the live entertainment industry to combat exploitative secondary ticketing platforms.

The partnership between Myticket.co.uk and Twickets will allow customers to access tickets for sold out shows at face value from other fans who are no longer able to attend. Myticket.co.uk will automatically link fans to Twickets when shows are sold out and will be endorsing Fan to Fan trade at face value for all shows.

Twickets is the official resale service for a wide variety of popular artists, including The 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Adele, Mumford & Sons, One Direction, and Massive Attack as well as some of the UK's leading festivals and venues. The platform is seeking to expand its key partnerships with other artists, events, venues and music retailers.

The company recently launched a round of crowdfunding (via www.seedrs.com/twickets), giving fans everywhere their first opportunity to invest in the future growth of Twickets. Various high profile music executives have already backed the campaign including Marcus Russell and Alec McKinlay (Ignition Management - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Catfish and the Bottlemen), Ian McAndrew (Wildlife Entertainment, Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys) and Tony Wadsworth CBE (former Chairman of EMI).

Commenting on the partnership, CEO & Founder of Kilimanjaro Live, Stuart Galbraith, said 'This is a hugely positive move for Kilimanjaro and MyTicket.co.uk and demonstrates our firm commitment to ensuring price transparency of tickets and ultimately as fair a deal as possible for fans'

Richard Davies, Founder of Twickets added, "Kilimanjaro Live and DEAG share our commitment to creating a fairer environment for fans, so its great to partner with MyTicket.co.uk to enable gig-goers to resell tickets at face-value."
