‘My Beautiful Mistakes’ podcast launches

Mike Smith, Lohan Presencer, Alison Wenham and Kenny Gates Among Interviewees for New Weekly Podcast

Andy Saunders, Founder and Managing Director of Velocity Communications, has announced the launch of a new podcast entitled ‘My Beautiful Mistakes.’

The weekly series, which will see new episodes released  every Tuesday,  is available from tomorrow (September 1) and features in-depth interviews with Mike Smith (Global President of Downtown Music), Alison Wenham (Founder and former CEO of The Association of Independent Music (AIM), Kenny Gates (Founder and CEO of [PIAS]) and Lohan Presencer (Chairman of Ministry of Sound) among others.

‘My Beautiful Mistakes’ takes as its central theme the idea that the mistakes made in someone’s otherwise successful career are not necessarily a bad thing. Rather, they are a by-product of decision making and are often a springboard for self-reflection and learning. Guests talk openly about their early lives, their pathways into the music industry, their successes and their failures in these honest, funny and often insightful interviews. 

Andy Saunders said, “I’ve been lucky enough to work with many inspiring and successful executives during my 30 or so years in the music industry and I have always been fascinated by the idea of ‘mistakes.’ I’ve never thought making mistakes was a bad thing as long as you reflect and learn from them, so I wanted to see if those who had enjoyed otherwise stellar careers felt the same. These conversations are fascinating for the honesty and the willingness of those I interviewed to talk about some of the wrong turns they have made on their way to reaching the top of their respective fields.”
