Ministry Of Sound Group announce The Ministry Shepherd’s Bush

New workspace concept to open in 2024 combines flexible working environment, event spaces, multi-studio fitness and rooftop bar & restaurant for the music and wider creative industries.

Ministry of Sound Group today announced the signing of an agreement to open The Ministry Shepherd’s Bush, a new workspace concept based in the popular West London Westfield centre and combining a flexible working environment, live music/event spaces and fitness studios, alongside a rooftop bar and restaurant.

Building on the huge success of its first project, The Ministry Borough Road, which launched in 2018 and is now one of the most popular places to work and network in London, The Ministry Shepherd’s Bush, which is a partnership with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), will reconfigure the ca. 115,000 sqft space that was until recently occupied by House of Fraser department store.

The Ministry Shepherd’s Bush aims to provide opportunities to a wide range of companies working in music and the wider creative sectors.

Ministry of Sound Group Chairman Lohan Presencer said: “Ministry of Sound has a long history of creating experiences that disrupt the norm and exceed all expectation, in nightclubs, music, live events, fitness and more recently workspace. We launched The Ministry Borough Road in 2018, a unique flexible workspace combining offices with co-working, meeting rooms, fitness studios, event space, a sound studio and a vibrant food and beverage offer. The first Ministry has been a huge success, reaching full occupancy within its first year, and we are very excited about our second location and this partnership with URW, where we are going bigger and bolder.”

With a three decade legacy of music industry success Ministry of Sound Group is ideally placed to create an environment where music industry professionals and those from the wider creative sectors can thrive. Now a global entertainment and hospitality brand Ministry of Sound, which opened the doors of its eponymous south London nightclub in 1991 is recognised as one the world’s largest independent music companies as well a multimedia, events and experiential business.

The Ministry Shepherd’s Bush will begin construction later this year and open in Q1 2024. It is a ground-breaking example of repurposing a traditional anchor department store into a dynamic, truly ground-breaking offer incorporating world class workspace, hospitality and fitness where members and the public can work, workout, network and not work – all under one roof.

URW UK Chief Operating Officer, Scott Parsons, said: “With almost 5 million people estimated to be working from coworking spaces by 2024, an increase of 158% compared to 2020*, new ways of working, socialising and living are shaping the services and experiences that people want. As we constantly transform Westfield centres and create new and innovative offerings, we are very excited to add our partnership with Ministry of Sound Group, launching this truly unique work, life and social venue.”
