Ministry of Sound announces Dance for Yamz memorial event for Yam Who? aka Midnight Riot co-founder Andy Williams

Ministry of Sound will celebrate the life of influential UK artist Andy Williams aka Yam Who? with a memorial event on Thursday 15th May featuring Dave Lee JN, Horse Meat Disco, Greg Wilson, Melvo Baptiste, John Morales, Michael Gray, Colleen "Cosmo" Murphy, Young Pulse, Sophie Lloyd, Seamus Haji, Red Rack'em, Alan Dixon, The Reflex, Graeme Park and many more. Tickets are just £10 for this exceptional line up and all proceeds for the event will go to Williams' family following his sudden and unexpected passing in March.

Williams was a much-loved DJ, producer and label head who has been a key part of the underground for more than 30 years. He founded vital labels such as ISM Records, Midnight Riot and Black Riot and related a superb catalogue of music under various aliases, most famously Yam Who? Williams was a regular on the global circuit and played Ministry of Sound countless times.

Says Travis Derrick, Head of Talent, "We're proud to host Dance for Yamz at Ministry of Sound in memory of Andy. He played a huge role in shaping the scene, and this night brings together artists who were part of that journey. It's about giving back to someone who gave so much."

It is a testament to the impact Williams had that so many world renowned artists are lining up mid-week to pay tribute to his legacy. Getting to see so many talented DJs from the worlds of house, disco and everything in between, as well as plenty of DJs from the Midnight Riot label family, for just £10, all while Williams' family, makes this an unmissable occasion.
