Merlin COO Charlie Lexton & NWA founding member OG Arabian Prince among Keynotes at 1st Djooky Music Investment Summit

Music and fintech startup Djooky has added a slew of high profile executives to speak at a new and ambitious music business investment and finance conference later today. 

A keynote interview with Merlin COO Charlie Lexton will open the summit at 11am PDT. Droplabs CEO, Susan Paley and NWA founding member/music entrepreneur, OG Arabian Prince will also keynote a joint discussion looking at how artists can generate funding from music and technology in the gaming industry.

VP, International at TuneCore, Faryal Khan-Thompson will discuss, "How to win the competition with giants on the global stage: a guide for emerging artists". VP, Brand Marketing at Epic Records, Michelle Edgar will talk about, "How building artist brand helps in monetizing their creativity” whilst Djooky co-founder/multi-platinum American producer, engineer, and mixer Brian Malouf will discuss, “How to make songs ‘click’ for global audiences?”. 

They will join Angelica Ayala-Torres, Darral Ballantune and Deborah Jourdan who will all be appearing in panels across the event. Featured panels will discuss investment and finance in the evolving music ecosystem, the rise of independent artists becoming the fastest-developing segment of the music business, streaming platforms being the industry’s ultimate game changer, AI & blockchain technology, intellectual property rights and much more.

The Djooky Music Investment Summit aims to facilitate discussion between key figures in the music business on innovative ways to promote and monetise grassroots artists as well as early-stage startups bringing reform to the music industry. 

The two-day event will also host its own Startup Pitch Contest — a competition for promising businesses tipped to transform the industry. The competition will be split up amongst three categories offering mentorship as well as increased exposure from the summit’s partners for the best candidates in AI and Technology in the Music Industry, Digital Entertainment and Content Creation & Music Licensing and Production.  

Single tickets cost $199 USD with extra group options available. The Djooky Music Investment Summit will offer free admittance to independent artists, small businesses and educational organisations. You can buy or apply for free tickets here.

The event will offer two simultaneous streams with keynote sessions, panel discussions, one-on-one interviews, Q&A sessions, networking with top professionals and access to panel recordings 30-days afterwards.
