Former Rizzle Kicks Co-Manager Takes New Role


London, April 19th 2013 - Highly regarded young artist manager Martha Kinn, has joined London-based Machine Management, whose current roster includes Friendly Fires, Clean Bandit, Mika, Scrufizzer, Mausi and others.

Kinn started her career in music journalism before landing jobs as a music management assistant and as a scout for a number of UK major labels. At the beginning of 2010 she discovered Rizzle Kicks at a poorly attended gig in East London and within a year they had signed to Island Records and with music management company Alley Cat Music, which she co-funded and which was recently nominated for an honour at the Artist & Manager awards. Rizzle Kicks have since enjoyed a platinum debut album, over a million singles sales and numerous sold out tours.

She brings her existing roster of new and developing artists with her – though not Rizzle kicks - and will also be working with a number of acts on the current Machine Management roster.  

She has also been given a role in the development of Machine Management’s other divisions, which include their brand consultancy business, Machine Consultancy, whose recent clients include Gucci, Mulberry and Diesel and their successful music publishing operation. Machine’s record label, Loose Lips, has gone from strength to strength since launching 12 months ago and releases to date have included acclaimed dance act Azari and III and ex Metronomy member Gabriel Stebbing’s new project Night Works.

Martha Kinn said, “I am starting a new chapter in my career and am really excited to be working with Iain, Phil and the team at Machine Management.
