Luke Grimes signs global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music

Warner Chappell Music (WCM) has signed a global publishing deal with singer-songwriter, musician, and Yellowstone star Luke Grimes in collaboration with Range Media Partners. His debut song “No Horse To Ride” was featured in the mid-season series finale last year and peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart. Grimes has collaborated with the likes of Liz Rose, Nicolle Galyon, Jessi Alexander, Aaron Raitiere, Rodney Clawson, Brent Cobb, and Randy Montana, among many others, and will be releasing his highly anticipated self-titled debut album produced by Dave Cobb on March 8 via UMG Nashville’s Capitol Records.

Ben Vaughn, President and CEO, Warner Chappell Music Nashville, said: "When you meet Luke you quickly realize his deep love for creating music. We've been so impressed with how he has formed strong creative relationships with other amazing writers and his commitment to country music. Everyone at Warner Chappell is beyond honored that he has chosen us to represent his songs."

On signing with WCM, Grimes shared: “Writing songs has become one of the most fulfilling things in my life. To now be able to do it in Nashville with some of the greatest to ever do it is a beyond a dream come true. Warner Chappell has been incredibly helpful getting me started on this journey, and I'm honored to officially become a part of their family. Big thanks to Ben and Jessi and the rest of the team. It means the world.”

Born and raised in Ohio, Luke Grimes learned how to play music at his local church. After studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career and landed a role in the acclaimed film American Sniper, and is currently one of the stars of the drama series, Yellowstone. In 2022, he released his debut song “No Horse To Ride,” shortly after inking a major label record deal with UMG Nashville. In 2023, Grimes released his eight-song EP, Pain Pills or Pews, which has amassed 105 million total global streams to date. That same year, he played upwards of 20 festivals, including Stagecoach and Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival, and headlined his own sold-out tour. Grimes is set to return to Stagecoach in April following the release of his debut full-length album.
