London's legendary new music venue Scala puts fans first with DICE

DICE has partnered with iconic venue and longstanding home of new music, Scala.

Kings Cross is in the midst of a dramatic upheaval, and now one of its most recognisable landmarks is teaming up with digital ticketing trailblazers DICE.

Scala will be going mobile to ensure all its gigs are easy to discover and also stay off the secondary market, through DICE's unique tech. Users of DICE are able to return tickets through the app to ensure that unwanted tickets go directly back into the hands of fans rather than touts.

DICE also allows its users to buy gig tickets in just three taps, streamlining the unnecessarily complex and time consuming act of buying tickets. And the price you see on the app is the price you pay. There are no hidden fees waiting to sting you at the end. It's simple.

For years Scala has been the place to see amazing new artists before they make it massive and has also been the venue of choice for secret gigs from huge acts, with everyone from Scottish synth-pop trio Chvrches through to seminal industrial rockers Nine Inch Nails, punk duo Slaves and nu-jazz sensation Kamasi Washington passing through its doors recently. The hallowed stage was also the location for The Stooges 'Raw Power' album cover, the iconic shot of a topless Iggy Pop taken by Mick Rock during a typically epic 1972 performance.

To celebrate the partnership, DICE and Scala are giving away 10 free pairs of tickets to 10 Scala shows. The lucky winner will be able to take a mate to each gig, with forthcoming shows from the Pitchfork and BBC 6Music approved likes of JPEGMAFIA, Phoebe Bridgers, Ryley Walker, Estrons, Boy Azooga, Poppy and Soccer Mommy all up for grabs. Fans can enter the competition via the DICE app.

Russ Tannen, UK Managing Director at DICE said, "There's nothing better than sitting down with the team that run one of London's most iconic venues are realising they share the same values as you. In this partnership Scala are putting fans first and touts last by going mobile with DICE.

Not only are they continuing to invest in diverse and groundbreaking programming across their gigs and club nights, but they're vastly improving the fan experience of discovering and buying tickets to the venue."

Jane Cotter, Events Co-Ordinator at Scala said, "Digital ticketing is the future of the music industry and this is clearly the next big step for Scala as a big London venue. Partnering with an innovative company like DICE means we can provide fans with easy-to-use tickets and most importantly the move will ensure our tickets don't appear on the secondary ticketing market."
