LIMITLESS LIVE announces Black Influence Awards, supported by Ballantine’s Scotch Whisky on 8th April 2023

 

Harmony Samuels, Record Producer For Ariana Grande and Chris Brown, To Present the Music Winner Award 

Nominees include Rochelle Humes, Marcus Rashford MBE, Irene Agbontaen, Munya Chawawa, Cat Burns and FLO

The awards highlight the influencers for their contributions to culture and advocates around the pay disparity they face 

 

The Limitless Live Black Influence Awards will be taking place on 8th April 2023 at London’s Roundhouse, to celebrate Black influencers and change-makers throughout a variety of industries. Inspiring influencers including, television presenter Rochelle Humes, Manchester United footballer Marcus Rashford MBE, change-maker Irene Agbontaens, comedian Munya Chawawa, BRIT Award nominated artist Cat Burns and British girl group FLO, have all been nominated for influence awards. English record producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Harmony Samuels, will be joining Limitless Live on the night to hand out the award to the winner of the music category. 

The Black Influence Awards will be taking place on the same night as Limitless Live’s music festival, to bring together influence and music. The line up includes hip hop duo Krept and Konan, drill artist K-Trap, R&B superstar Carla Prata, Rap sensation Crystal Millz and international DJ Cuppy. As well as this, Limitless Live will be hosting workshops throughout the day as part of the festival, with partner M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment and Universal Music.

Limitless Live will also highlight and advocate for pay disparity for black influencers at the awards. In 2021 a survey conducted by global communications firm MSL found that the racial pay gap between white and BIPOC influencers is 29 per cent. Furthermore, the gap between white and black influencers is even wider, at 35 per cent. The Black Influence Awards have been created to challenge brands to pay equitably and showcase those who are having a positive impact on their industry. 

Categories for the Black Influence Awards include: beauty and lifestyle, politics and social change, fashion, health and fitness, family, music, sport, entrepreneur, comedy and change-maker. The judging panel includes, Jordan Mitchell - Co-Founder of Good Culture, Vik Khagram - Head of Influencer Marketing at Ketchum, Nicole Crentsil - Founder of Black Girl Fest, Shannie Mear - co founder of Elephant Room, Rumbi Mupindu - Co-Founder of VAMP UK and Viv Ahmun - serial entrepreneur, have shortlisted an incredible list of nominees, and these influencers will be shared on the Vamp UK Instagram page.

The awards will be given out to the influencers throughout the evening of limitless live 2023. Partners for the awards include Ballantines as the headline partner, M&C Saatchi Social, Dawbell PR and VAMP UK.
