#LetTheMusicPlay - Support Live Music in the UK

We all know that live music in the UK is in crisis, so tomorrow sees a day of industry-wide action to encourage Government support under the banner #LetTheMusicPlay.

The day begins with a letter being delivered to culture secretary Oliver Dowden signed by thousands of artists, crew and venues. Names on the letter include Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, the Rolling Stones, Dua Lipa, Sam Smith, Skepta, Lewis Capaldi, Little Mix and many more.

But the main push tomorrow (Thursday) is on social media, and it needs your support. Please get involved:

1.     Post a video or photo of your last show, with the hashtag #LetTheMusicPlay, OR
2.     Post some of the pre-made social graphics which can be downloaded here.
3.     Encourage your colleagues, networks, family and friends to do the same.

Hundreds of grassroots music venues face closure, much of the workforce faces redundancy, and the talented supply chain that makes shows happen is crumbling. This is our chance to be heard above all sectors, and to show the vital importance of live music in the UK.

Thanks in advance for being involved and ensuring the Government gets the message that the live music business must be protected.
