Kobalt's AWAL acquires in2une Music

AWAL Bolsters Promotion and Marketing Capabilities for Independent Artists

in2une Music Will Remain Independent to Serve Existing and Future Clients

AWAL, Kobalt’s recording company, today announced it has acquired radio promotion and music marketing firm, in2une Music. The acquisition of in2une Music will upgrade AWAL’s global marketing and promotion capabilities for its roster of independent artists. At the same time, in2une Music will maintain its autonomy to serve both existing and prospective clients in the marketplace, regardless of whether they use AWAL’s other services.
In2une Music is the only independent music marketing firm that has demonstrated consistent success providing full service, multi-format radio promotion. Over its ten year history, in2une Music has enjoyed chart success with more than 400 songs from artists including Chance The Rapper, Diplo, Lauv, Marshmello, AJR, The Lumineers, Cheat Codes, Calvin Harris, Lindsey Stirling, Capital Cities and Major Lazer's "Lean On," which was the first independent artist owned and operated song to reach number one.

In2une Music will continue to operate independently and provide services to AWAL along with their existing client base. In addition, AWAL will provide resources to in2une Music to build a more robust worldwide team to support global curation, social/digital strategy and campus/lifestyle marketing.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The current staff including CEO and Founder, Dale Connone, and Managing Partner, Ken Lucek, will continue to operate in2une Music.
