Kobalt Signs Steve Angello to Recordings Deal



Kobalt Music, an independent music services company, built for artists, songwriters, publishers and labels as an alternative to the traditional music business model, announced today they have signed a multi-faceted worldwide label services deal with DJ and producer, Steve Angello. The deal includes a partnership with Angello’s label, Size Records UK Limited. The signing offers Angello a full range of services including digital and physical distribution, marketing, synch licensing and more.

A long-standing icon in the dance world, Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum selling DJ/producer Steve Angello is one of the most successful electronic musicians in history.

His 2016 debut solo album Wild Youth of which he released on his own Size Records debuted #1 on the iTunes Dance chart in over 42 countries. Since the release, Steve has headlined some of the biggest festivals across the globe. His upcoming album will be released in three parts signifying different stages of his life: Act I - Genesis, Act ll - Inferno, and Act lll - Paradiso.

Spotify Artist Subscriptions

On Friday, August 4th, Angello released Act I - Genesis with two news singles, “Breaking Kind (feat. Paul Meany)” and “Rejoice (feat. T.D. Jakes). This release leveraged Kobalt’s new marketing technology, Spotify Artist Subscriptions, that allows fans to sign up to receive everything an artist releases, directly into their Spotify library.
