Kobalt Signs Jillian Jacqueline to Publishing Deal28 July 2020 - Press release
Kobalt has announced a global publishing deal with rising country music artist and songwriter, Jillian Jacqueline. The deal includes a full range of creative and administration services for her catalog and future works.
Jesse Willoughby, GM, Kobalt, Nashville said of the deal, “Jillian is such an incredibly diverse and talented artist and writer. We're excited that she's entrusted us with her creative vision and look forward to what we're able to build together."
Jacqueline has intrigued country fans with her effortlessly raw vocals and new-school, no-holds-barred storytelling through her breakout EPs “SIDE A” and “SIDE B.” To date, the bold up-and-comer has garnered more than 80 million total streams. She has received praise from media early in her career such as, “part of the next generation of country music stars” (Refinery 29), one of the “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” (Rolling Stone), and “catchy and radio-ready as hell” (American Songwriter). Jacqueline is the first country artist to make Vevo’s elite dscvr Artists To Watch list, while also earning spots on Pandora’s Country Artists To Watch and CMT’s coveted Next Women of Country list as well as the network's tastemaking “18 for 2018” rundown of emerging artists.
In 2019, Jacqueline completed her first-ever run of headline dates, followed by a string of sold-out shows with Kip Moore in the U.K., and capped off her stint across the pond with her first headlining show in London. A native of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, she was road-mentored by country icon Kenny Rogers and has written and recorded alongside legends like Vince Gill and Richard Marx. She is currently working toward the release of new music on the horizon.
“As a songwriter, I feel like I’ve found the perfect partner in this new season of my career,” said Jillian Jacqueline. “I couldn’t be more proud to call Kobalt my home. They are the most passionate, intentional, and ambitious team of creatives I’ve met in Nashville, and I believe they will only help further my vision and goals for myself not only as a writer but also as an artist. I am so excited and eager to begin this new adventure with them.”
Brad Beausir, Kobalt Creative Director, added, "Jillian Jacqueline is one of those writers that you crave to work with as a creative. She can write in so many different spaces with writers and artists across multiple platforms. Jillian is a true artist that is building something really special while also being able to help others tell their stories. She is an amazing talent and we are so thrilled that Jillian Jacqueline is now part of the Kobalt family."
