DANCE MUSIC’S NEW SUPERSTAR FOLLOWS RAG ‘N’ BONE MAN AS VEVO’S SECOND LIFT ACT OF 2017

FANS GET CLOSER THAN EVER WITH BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIDEOS, EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCES AND MORE

Vevo has revealed that its second LIFT act of 2017 is the UK’s biggest global breakthrough artist of 2016 Jonas Blue.

Platinum hitmaker Jonas’ first video of the LIFT series will debut on 25 April on vevo.com and on the mobile app – a ‘Becoming’ interview which will see Jonas tell all about his musical journey so far and rise to DJ stardom.

Vevo will then roll out videos including exclusive performances and behind-the-scenes footage over the coming weeks, bringing fans closer than ever before to the London-born star.

Launched back in 2011, Vevo’s artist development programme LIFT throws the spotlight on the freshest new talent in Britain. Vevo LIFT alumni include the likes of Sam Smith, James Bay and Years and Years who all gave their fans a sneak peek into their early careers via a series of Vevo videos.

In February of this year, Vevo unveiled Rag ‘N’ Bone Man as the first LIFT act of 2017, with more to be announced.

Jonas Blue commented: “I am truly honoured to be part of this prestigious hall of fame and be in the company of such amazing new artists.”

Since bursting onto the music scene in December 2015, the two times Brit Award nominee Jonas Blue has seen a meteoric rise to stardom selling over 12.8 million singles globally and picking up close to two billion global streams.  His debut single, ‘Fast Car’, a reinterpretation of the Tracy Chapman classic, sold over 6 million copies and is certified platinum in countries around the world.  Quickly followed by smash hits ‘Perfect Strangers’ featuring JP Cooper then ‘By Your Side’ featuring rising UK artist Raye, Jonas Blue is launching into 2017 in a spectacular fashion with his debut live show set to tour Europe this May and new music set to drop imminently.
