Apple Music announces singer/songwriter Ingrid Andress as the latest addition to its Up Next program, Apple Music's monthly artist initiative geared towards identifying, showcasing and elevating rising talent.

Andress is one of the most exciting and genuine new storytellers in country music and beyond. She stands out as a leader in the rising class of women who represent country music's rich history of powerful female voices - known for radiating both strength and vulnerability in their songs. Andress has been supported across both Country and Pop spaces on Apple Music, including Today’s CountryWhat Would Dolly Do?Little Bit CountryA-List PopHeartbreak Pop and more. She has also been featured on both Zane Lowe and Kelleigh Bannen’s Beats 1 shows, and spotlighted within Apple Music’s Song Stories for “More Hearts Than Mine.” Andress has made a name for herself well beyond Nashville, writing with some of today’s most influential artists, like Alicia Keys, Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX, FLETCHER and Dove Cameron, reaching global audiences abroad. To date, she has been Shazamed in over 170 countries and peaked in Shazam's Japan Top 200 with "Lady Like (The Rosebank Acoustic Sessions)".

“As a country artist, it means so much to me to have the Apple Up Next platform to share my music with more of the world,” Andress shared. “Country music is global, because the stories and the emotions are real and universally felt. Stories that connect all of us transcend any genre, definition, or stereotype.”

“The Colorado native has an incredible knack for filling songs with the kind of intimate details that make you feel connected to the characters,” said Apple Music host Kelleigh Bannen. “She may hate small talk, but she seemingly loves real talk, which she shows us time and time again in songs like “Ladylike,” “More Hearts Than Mine,” and “Life of the Party.” Thoughtful, bold, and a little ballsy — we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Andress’ Up Next short shot on iPhone 11 Pro comes to Apple Music exclusively today and is available to watch HERE. In the film, Andress talks about showing her rebellious side during her teens, using the piano as a healing form of expression, and transitioning from playing sports to fully pursuing a career in music.“Every song started in my bedroom or as a thought, and it is now something that a ton of people relate to—and that process is so mind-blowing to me,” Andress tells Apple Music about the attention she’s drawn for her intimate country-pop songs. “It’s so humbling. I just love that I can exist in the industry and still be myself—and spread a message that encourages people to be themselves.”

In an interview with Bannen, she discusses her conversational lyrical style, creating music outside of genre constraints, and the meaning behind her debut single, “More Hearts Than Mine.” Watch the full interview HERE.

On March 25, Andress will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as part of Apple Music's Up Next program.
