Impala launches new storytelling campaign, Faces of the Independent Sector, to celebrate its 25th anniversary

To celebrate 25 years championing the independent sector in Europe, IMPALA launches a new project to put the spotlight on individuals working across the industry. The Faces of the Independent Sector campaign will offer monthly insights into the inner workings of an industry known for its creativity and diversity. The project is co-funded by the European Union under IMPALA's network programme.

The campaign will spotlight a range of European independent music companies and share their stories from the perspectives of owners, employees, and other key players. By highlighting their successes, struggles, and day-to-day realities, the project will reveal the faces of the sector's leaders and stories that make it thrive.

Rory Brown, IMPALA PR and Projects Coordinator, stated: "This project gives us an opportunity to recognise the people who make independent music what it is, including label owners and other key roles, to tell the story of how independents work and why they matter. The project reflects the cultural significance and diversity of independent music in Europe".

Building on IMPALA's previous anniversary campaigns, such as the
FIVEUNDERFIFTEEN series for IMPALA's 15th birthday and the 20MinutesWith podcast launched for its 20th anniversary, 'Faces of the Independent Sector' will take a more profile-oriented approach to showcasing the independent music sector.

PR company Digizik is also working on the project, helping develop the campaign format and communication strategy.

The first interview is scheduled to be released in December. Stay tuned for more details on who will be featured.
