IMPALA board to discuss Spotify's move towards a new royalty system

Earlier today, Spotify announced a move to change its royalty system.

IMPALA, the independent music companies association, representing over 6000 independent music companies and national associations across Europe, is currently canvassing member views on the proposed changes. The proposal will also be discussed at our upcoming board meeting which will take place next week on 30th November.

Our focus is and will remain ensuring a fair, diverse and sustainable music ecosystem for all, as set out in our 10-point plan to make the most of streaming, which was released two years and a half ago and was updated earlier this year.
