Holly Humberstone signs to Polydor, Darkroom and Interscope

In less than a year, Holly Humberstone has become the biggest breakthrough artist in the UK.

Today the 21-year-old Grantham based artist signs a recording contract with Polydor Records, Darkroom and Interscope Records. President of Polydor, Tom March says “I fell in love with Holly’s music and the incredible world she creates for it from the first moment i heard her. She’s a creative tour de force and we’re so excited to be working with her and her brilliant team”. Co-President Ben Mortimer says “Holly is a once in a lifetime artist. She has already made great strides in establishing a long career for herself, and we at Polydor feel very lucky to now be able to help her with that journey.”

Darkroom CEO Justin Lubliner, says “Holly is an incredible artist with such unique talent. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside her and her awesome manager Josh Sanger to help amplify her creative vision. We love her music and we can't wait to hit the ground running!” Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman & CEO John Janick says: "Holly has a singular voice and distinctive aesthetic which is why she is already building a passionate fanbase around the world. We are so excited to welcome her into the IGA family."

From coming runner up in the prestigious BBC Sound of 2021, to being picked for BBC Radio 1’s 2021 Brit List, featured on Amazon Music UK Ones To Watch 2021, chosen as Apple’s Up Next Artist and VEVO DSCVR’s Artists To Watch 2021, as well as selling our four headline shows at Omeara, Holly’s accolades are far reaching. The singer songwriter is closing in on 100 million streams for her debut EP Falling Asleep At The Wheel, which has been heralded internationally by the The Sunday Times, NME (5*), The Guardian, ELLE, Billboard, Triple J, BBC Radio 1 and Apple Music.

No stranger to giving intimate live performances during lockdown, Holly appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS last week, delivering a poignant performance of her song ‘Falling Asleep At The Wheel’, the title track from her debut EP, and confirmed her collaboration with 1975’s Matt Healy. Holly has also performed on Jimmy Kimmel! Live, been hand-picked to perform at BBC’s Music’s Introducing Live, been featured in VEVO’s DSCVR At Home series, and even scripted and starred in her own music-short-film, ‘On The Run'! Filmed at a Paper Mill in her hometown of Grantham, the piece takes viewers on a visual and sonic journey of Falling Asleep At The Wheel and documents the significant imprint that her home has left across her music.
