Intention Records launches with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK alumni The Vivienne, Tia Kofi and Veronica Green 

 

Absolute has been chosen as the label services partner for new label, Intention Records, founded by leading UK publicist Simon Jones and G-A-Y owner Jeremy Joseph.

Intention launches with three stars from Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK on its roster: series one winner The Vivienne, Tia Kofi and Veronica Green.

Simon Jones has worked as one of the UK's leading publicists for over 20 years, with big name clients across music and entertainment including Little Mix, One Direction, Pussycat Dolls and Ant and Dec.

DJ and promoter Jeremy Joseph has built the G-A-Y club night into a world-famous brand since acquiring its predecessor Bang! in the early 90s.  

Simon Jones said: "We set up Intention because of a combined love of both music and drag. RuPaul's Drag Race has brought drag slap bang into the mainstream. The latest UK series is one of the biggest TV shows of the year, especially amongst 16-34 year olds. 

“There is a lot of musical talent in the show, but they are not supported in terms of major record labels or music industry love. We started Intention to give singers such as The Vivienne, Tia Kofi and Veronica Green a platform to showcase their music working with top writers, producers, and promo teams. 

“The partnership with Absolute is a natural one, as I have worked with Fraser at Absolute for a long time on numerous high profile music artists and there is a huge level of trust and respect for what Fraser and the team can deliver. We have lots of exciting plans for 2021 and beyond.”
