Have Yourself a Very 'Big Christmas' With Exclusive Recordings from Global Artists

Gavin James, Thalía, Ella Henderson and more have recorded original Christmas covers, exclusive to Deezer

It just isn’t Christmas until you hear songs about Santa and snowflakes. This year we’re adding a modern twist to your festive favorites. We’ve asked 18 talented artists to record original covers for Deezer’s ‘Big Christmas’ compilation! 

Our brilliant lineup has artists from all over the world, including Australia, France, Norway, the UK and the Philippines. This includes singer Gavin James, ‘Queen of Latin Pop' Thalía and rising Scandinavian pop star Aurora. Each act recorded their own original Christmas cover, including top festive songs ‘Last Christmas’ and ‘Silent Night’. 

But should you expect them to sound just like the originals? Definitely not. Every cover in Big Christmas’ offers a mix of genres that give a soulful, acoustic and electronic infusion to the original tracks. 

Kieran Shudall of Circa Waves said this about the band’s track ‘Driving Home for Christmas’:"I’ve always loved Chris Rea's voice and in this business I find myself driving home for Christmas every year so the song choice just felt right!"

Deezer’s Nigel Harding* worked closely with the artists involved in Big Christmas. “Everyone has their go-to Christmas track they keep on repeat.
