GigSalad Expands Roster, Pays Out $31.8M to Performers Since 2024



Boosted by strong growth and notable payouts to talent, the leading event talent platform is refreshing its design to help its diverse roster book more and better gigs.


GigSalad, the largest online booking destination for event talent, is growing by leaps and bounds. From speakers to bartenders to guitarists, more talented providers are signing on as members, and increased bookings have generated $31.8M in payouts since the start of 2024. This rapid expansion has inspired the platform to revamp its design to support its next phase of growth and the ongoing professionalization of its member community—without losing its fun-loving spirit.

"We created a platform where talented event service providers and performers can find a home for their business, where they feel comfortable. Our payout numbers demonstrate how responsive event planners have been to their offerings," says Mark Steiner, co-founder and CEO of GigSalad. "Now we've set our sights on making the booking process even smoother and more appealing with a new design approach and more streamlined interface. We want everyone to feel they can come to GigSalad to plan any and all events, from backyard birthday parties to major industry conferences."

Event planning has changed dramatically in the last five years, as part of an overall trend to buy and do more online. Digital planning and booking have become the norm, as increasing numbers of people seek unique real-life experiences to mark personal milestones, family celebrations, or professional events. These two trends have converged to bolster GigSalad's scale: event planners have submitted more than 680K events via GigSalad since January 2024. Meanwhile, event talent and service providers working across more than 500 different categories have flocked to the platform, making it the largest talent roster in North America.

This diverse mix of talent and planners' increasing interest in making events truly special has led GigSalad to seek a new look and feel. To bring this refreshed identity to life, GigSalad partnered with Focus Lab, a brand agency known for helping growing companies align who they are with how they show up in the world.
