Gigmit's new leadership team is formed: excellent underdogs, equal, no-names

 

At gigmit, we celebrate forward-thinking for our own product AND company. Three new executives join gigmits' executive leadership team — a journey from interns to directors.

We hear it every day: The importance of gender equality and sharing responsibility. Instead of talking about how important gender equality in the music industry is, gigmit has just done it. gigmit has now an international and gender equal leadership team: Lise Carles, Sandra Kauer and Pedro Ricardo join CEO Marcus Fitzgerald as Marketing Director, Finance Director and Product Director.

gigmit exists to make the world of live music simple and successful. Following our values, gigmit provides a solution that is open, accessible, transparent and fair. Plus, we are inspired from live events as well as our over 200,000 users. What would values mean if they are not the basis on every decision and not just the marketing ones. This Is why gigmit formed its new leadership team based on its values, not on quotas nor on big names. We are a grassroots organization and want to support the skills of our team. What is even more special about this deal, the promotion comes with an equal pay and Sandra and Lise started as interns in the company.

gigmits leadership team consists of Lise Carles from France, Marketing Director, Sandra Kauer from Germany, Finance Director and Pedro Ricardo from Portugal, Product Director.

Sandra and Lise started as interns in the company. Pedro is responsible for some of the biggest steps that the gigmit platform has made in recent years, such as the new gigmit call feature, developments on our database, or practical features like the booking calendar.

"We are taking the product to the next level. Besides making the platform easier to use and understand, we are constantly working on redefining and expanding what success is to an artist on gigmit. Seeing our features being used by artists on different stages of their careers (from the small singer-songwriter who plays at the local pub to the DJ who fills up a club with 500 people) makes me really happy and drives me to do more." says Pedro Ricardo, Product Director.

Lise Carles has played a very important role in talking about equal rights and looking into the state of the industry, such as most recently on gigmit's Pride month and played an important role in scaling the gigmit community by 300% in the last 3 years.

It is very impressive to see how far we've come with such a small team. meeting happy users and seeing that gigmit empowers them to craft their dream career is what drives me." says Lise Carles, Marketing Director.

Sandra Kauer developed gigmit's financial operations and 360° planning, from public funding to invoicing and payments. She secures gigmit's financial backbone every day on a whole new level.
