These sessions are part of Today at Apple Creative Studios London programme, supported by the Mayor of London.
Today at Apple - Creative Studios London
Centred around music and radio production for young Londoners lacking in opportunity in communities underrepresented in the industry. Today at Apple Creative Studios London, delivered in partnership with City Hall, aims to enable young Londoners to “unlock their creativity” within their communities. Throughout a four-week period, the full-time programme will offer hands-on experience in professional studio settings and mentorship from renowned artists in the radio and music industries.
The programme starts during the school holidays and partners with youth-led radio station Reprezent 107.3FM in Brixton for those aged between 18-24 and Spotlight, a creative arts youth service based in Tower Hamlets, for those aged 16-25. The programme will provide career-building mentorship, access to creative resources and professional industry skills training.
Music Programme with Spotlight (cohort of 8)
Write and record their own track in a professional studio environment with the chance to get it played on Brixton radio station Reprezent 107.3FM. With direct exposure to the industry and leading artists, participants will take their writing, production and promotion skills to a new level.
Radio Programme with Reprezent (cohort of 10)
Produce and present their own radio show to feature live on Reprezent 107.3FM over the August bank holiday weekend. Participants will discover what broadcasting is like from the inside, from producing audio features to setting up collaborations and promoting their own show.
Virtual Sessions (open to public)
Weekly virtual sessions in music and radio production, guided by some of the industry’s leading names. You’ll discover new skills and pro tips, and get creative inspiration in songwriting, producing, broadcasting, interviewing and more. Part of Today at Apple Creative Studios London, supported by the Mayor of London.
