26 September 2025 - Press release
The fifth edition of Music Mudder, the unique music-inspired endurance event organised by leading talent agency Wasserman Music, in partnership with music therapy charity, Nordoff and Robbins, raised over £68,000 and counting for the charity, with more than 430 music industry peers taking on the toughest, muddiest challenge on the industry calendar.
The money raised through this year’s Music Mudder could fund over 800 music therapy sessions, kit out 33 schools with a full suite of instruments that could be used for music therapy delivery, or contribute towards three students completing the two year Nordoff and Robbins Master of Music Therapy programme.
Hosted by broadcaster, presenter and content producer Ore Olukoga, Music Mudder 2025 saw 54 teams from all corners of the music industry join together on Friday 19 September to tackle 38 adrenaline-pumping obstacles at the legendary Camelot Events ‘Nuts Challenge’ course, on a sunny in Dorking, Surrey.
James Hughes, competing on Team GRF, completed the 7km course in the fastest individual time of 1 hour, 2 minutes and 46 seconds. Team Atlantic took the top spot as the fastest overall team for a second year running, with an average time of 1 hour 9 minutes and 40 seconds. Cuffe & Taylor won the top prize for team fundraising, with £10,000 raised through Enthuse, while Team WME’s Josh Javor raised the most individually, bringing in £1,990.
Over £2,000 was raised through a prize draw on the day, with generously donated prizes including a Ruark radio, Marshall headphones, Two Tribes beer, Kylie Minogue prosecco, Flare Audio earbuds, VIP tickets to Ricky Gervais at OVO Arena Wembley and LW Theatres show tickets.
After crossing the finish line and receiving custom Music Mudder medals, competitors celebrated in the blazing sun backed by music from DJs Max Martini, Amarachi Okewuihe and Ned Entwistle, while magician Michael Gee performed spellbinding tricks and Very Yoga Reigate offered some mindful post-Mudder stretching. Magic Number, Drip Water and Busy Bee Coffee kept the drinks flowing and The Pizza Oven provide much needed sustenance to bring the energy levels back up.
Sandy Trappitt, Director of Fundraising, Nordoff and Robbins, said: “The fifth anniversary of Music Mudder was a great success! So many of our friends from across the music industry and beyond joined us to take on the challenge, get muddy and raise lots of money for vital music therapy services. In challenging times when our costs are rising as fast as demand for music therapy, all the money raised will help us massively in giving even more people the chance to connect and communicate through the power of music. We’re so grateful to everyone involved both behind the scenes and waist deep in mud for their ongoing support of this unique event, and to Wasserman Music for partnering with us and keeping the mud flowing.”
Lucy Putman, Agent, Wasserman Music, said: “We’re so proud to have hit this special milestone of hosting five Music Mudders in aid of Nordoff and Robbins. Raising over £68,000 this year means we’ve now raised over £300,000 for music therapy services through Music Mudder, which is an incredible achievement. I’d like to give a huge shout out to everyone who took part in the fundraising. We were lucky that the sun came out again on the day, and it was great to see everyone out in force supporting this amazing charity.”
Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice.
