FAC announce End of Year Party & AGM in association with PPL

The Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) are delighted to announce details of our 2023 End of Year Party and AGM in association with PPL.

Taking place at the music-focussed Blackhorse Road event space of independent brewery Signature Brew from 5.30pm on Wednesday 29th November, the event is also supported by NME and will centre around an artist-led 'Year in Music' panel discussion. Hosted by NME's Senior News Reporter, Andrew Trendell, this will feature FAC board member Joff Oddie (Wolf Alice), TBFKA easy life's Murray Matravers, LVRA and Cherise, who will pore over the past 12 months in music, and look ahead to what's in store for 2024.

LVRA and Cherise have both been recipients of the FAC's Step Up Fund powered by Amazon Music, while TBFKA easy life will be recognised for their outspoken advocacy at the upcoming Artist & Manager Awards on November 23rd.

Attendees will also hear from the FAC's Artist in Residence, David Rowntree, who this year released his first solo project, Radio Songs, in addition to performing with Blur as part of the band's hugely successful comeback, including two sell-out shows at Wembley Stadium alongside the number one album, The Ballad Of Darren.

As part of the evening, FAC members, friends and guests are all invited to attend a short AGM and will be welcomed with complimentary drinks.

Those wishing to attend can sign up here

The event is made possible through the generous support of PPL, the UK music industry's collective management organisation for over 140,000 performers and recording rights holders.

As well as adding two new staff - Gary Reid, Head of Partnerships & Programmes, and Billie Morton Riley, Membership and Comms Manager - 2023 has been another pivotal year for the FAC.

Working closely with fellow members of the Council of Music Makers, we have continued to provide a unified voice for featured artists in pan-industry discussions on issues including streaming reform and the application of AI. Meanwhile, the 100% Venues campaign to end punitive commissions on merchandise sales, and #LetTheMusicMove, a campaign to encourage friction-free international touring, have both made significant progress.

In July, the FAC revealed 12 more beneficiaries of our Amazon-powered Step Up Fund, while other winners at the Artist & Manager Awards, the annual ceremony we co-host with the MMF, include Duran Duran, Jorja Smith, Forever Living Originals, and Tinie Tempah / Imhotep.

David Martin, CEO, Featured Artists Coalition said:

"With 2023 coming to a close, I'm really proud of what the FAC team has accomplished, and particularly our campaigning work with 100% Venues, #LetTheMusicMove and continuing push to reform the economics of streaming. Our end of year party is a perfect opportunity to hear the views and perspectives of artists on all these issues, to find out about the work we do, and for our community to come together in unison. I'm incredibly grateful for the support from PPL, and looked forward to catching up with friends and colleagues on the 29th."
