Ditto Music's "Ditto X: Meet The Music Industry" and "Industry Access" Return for 2022

Ditto Music, the award-winning global music distribution and record label services company, has today announced the first wave of industry guest speakers and exciting talent joining the line-up for this year’s music conference, Ditto X: Meet the Music Industry.

The first wave of confirmed guests include presenter Gemma Bradley (BBC Radio 1), former Radio X Head of Music now NFT Strategy Leader Mike Walsh (Serenade), inspiring independent music publisher Shauni Caballero (Founder, Go 2 Agency) and rising RnB Star Jaz Karis.

Following on from last year’s acclaimed Ditto X event - which was the first in-person music conference of its scale since the end of lockdowns in the UK - this year’s conference will once again take place at the prestigious indigo at the O2, in London’s O2 Arena.

Ditto X: Meet the Music Industry promises an action-packed day of industry-focused panels, interviews, Q&As, workshops, listening session, live performances, an Industry Market Exhibition, as well as food and drink options including a pop-up stall from Ditto Coffee (Ditto Music’s highstreet coffee shop franchise). There will also be an intimate aftershow in South East London the same evening for VIP ticket holders, where speakers, guests and Ditto Music staff can network further and enjoy some incredible live music performances.

Ditto X will also play a key role in Ditto Music’s Industry Access programme, offering chosen students exclusive access to the event and its resources.

Developed to challenge inequality and improve working-class and minority representation in the music industry, Industry Access provides in-depth training sessions, exclusive networking opportunities and the opportunity for music industry internships for people looking to kick-start a career in music.

Confirmed guest speakers for 2022 initiative include Pretti Hanumara (Senior Music Executive at ITV Studios), Jess Monroe (Artist Manager and Head of Music Partnerships at SOGA WORLD), and emerging name in independent music Ard Adz and rising Tik Tok star Callum Bowie. Last year Ditto Music helped over 60 individuals progress in the music industry who had previously felt held back by underpresentation and challenges brought on by inequaliy.

Commenting on the launch of Industry Access, Ditto CEO Lee Parsons, said,

"After we pledged to $100,000 in 2020 to support Black Lives Matter causes and underrepresented people across the music industry, it was clear that we needed to use our position to create real opportunities that would make a real difference. That’s why we created Industry Access, to give those who feel underrepresented in the industry the opportunity to learn from the best, develop their skills and excel in their own careers"
