Distiller Music Group Appoint Dan Market as A&R Manager -

London-based Distiller Music Group has announced the appointment of Dan Market to the position of A&R Manager.

Reporting directly to Distiller Music Group Managing Director Alan Pell, Market joins the company from Hideout Recordings, the label launched by former EMI executives Keith Wolzencroft and Dan Keeling, where he held a similar position.

Starting his music industry career in 2005 as the manager of indie favourites Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong, Market joined Universal as an A&R Scout in 2008 before launching his own label Hit Club Records and new bands club night Tribe Called West in 2009. In 2010 he added Hit Club Management to his portfolio and oversaw the careers of artists including Egyptian Hip Hop, Books and Vondelpark among others. Throughout this period he also consulted for booking agents Primary Talent.

Market will work alongside Alan Pell to identify new talent for the group and will oversee the continuing development of the company’s existing roster of artists.

Dan Market said, “This is a very exciting time for independent music companies and Distiller is well positioned to build on its existing success moving forward. I am really pleased to have joined a great set up here and look forward to working as part of a dynamic and passionate team."

Alan Pell said, “Dan is passionate about music and has a great ear for exciting new music. His track record of discovering and nurturing interesting artists speaks for itself and I am looking forward to adding his creative talents to the existing team here.”
