Delic - Make some noise30 June 2020 - Press release
The brand new music platform that will bring together the essential elements of the modern music business
Delic will provide a cloud-based digital project organiser, automated rights management and an Artist profile hub to allow creators to manage songs, share music and build a business
New music platform Delic will launch on the 30th June, allowing musicians and those involved in the creation of music – including producers, labels and management companies – to collaborate and build a network of like-minded individuals, share ideas, build a fanbase, and reach their business potential.
On launch, the groundbreaking and seamless platform will offer those that register with them the opportunity to collaborate with other users on the platform, via a real-time shared workflow space, forums to manage projects, and allow files to be shared between music creators in one space, via a public page with livestream curation, meaning artists can share ideas and inspiration for songs.
Delic will take an artist-first approach to the creation of new music and project management, making things easier, fairer and more rewarding for those making music. The platform will be able to create opportunities for musicians and music creators, making the process easier for the many who make music, and allow them an easier way to make a living from their creations utilising a PayPal.Me link, whilst also offering full transparency and real time accountability, rights attribution and management.
Further attributes to the platform will added throughout the year and into 2021, including auto-categorisation of assets by metadata and for them to be registered on a blockchain ledger, core asset and rights management tools, from bulk uploads to sales, sync licensing, contracts and payments, catalogue onboarding and management, release management including digital distribution, and publishing services.
John Maxwell Hobbs, CEO of Delic, says: “Musicians are increasingly taking control of their careers. Although there are wonderful tools available for making music, and innovative new ways to find new music, there’s very little out there to help creators effectively and efficiently connect the two worlds. Delic will bridge the gap by providing a platform that will allow musicians to simply get on with the act of being creative with the confidence that their rights are being protected, and that they will be compensated fairly for their work.
“As musicians and producers ourselves, we are intimately acquainted with the trials and tribulations associated with getting ideas out of your head and into someone’s ears. We believe that this experience gives us unique insight into the challenges that today’s creators face. We’ve spent a lot of time talking to musicians about what they need most from a platform like ours, and have built that into the heart and soul of Delic.”
In another remarkable new initiative, Delic is rewarding its users and early adopters by offering equity in the platform in exchange for feedback, and is doing so by partnering with Vestd.com, the UK’s first and only regulated digital share scheme platform for SMEs.
